Quote of the Day

“I have been through a lot and have suffered a great deal. But I have had lots of happy moments, as well. Every moment one lives is different from the other. The good, the bad, hardship, the joy, the tragedy, love and happiness are all interwoven into one single, indescribable whole that is called life. You cannot separate the good from the bad. And perhaps there is no need to do so, either.”

-Jackie Kennedy Onassis

Within the next couple months, my friend has many travels ahead of her, both for work and play (Vegas!). She needs some new luggage to carry her precious cargo (we both tend to over pack when we travel…). She also tends to be indecisive when it comes to purchases, so she asked me for some help in finding the right kind. It must be affordable, efficient, and of course most of all stylish. Here are some of her personal favorites. Please help us choose!

Rockland Chocolate, from Target, $99.99

San Marino, from Target, $89.99

American Flyer, Pemberly Buckle, $215.99

Traveler's Choice, Amsterdam, $98.99

American Trunk & Case, Escape, $99.99

My favorite is the American Trunk & Case, Escape, for $99.99.

I am a huge fan of animal prints.

What’s your favorite?

Elizabeth Taylor, one of the greatest style icons, passed away yesterday at the age of 79 from congestive heart failure.

These are a few of my favorite photos and quotes of hers, as a tribute to her grace and beauty.

"I adore wearing gems, but not because they are mine. You can't possess radiance, you can only admire it."

"When people say, 'she's got everything,' I've got one answer - I haven't had tomorrow."

"There's still so much more to do. I can't sit back and be complacent, and none of us should be. I get around now in a wheelchair, but I get around."

"Big girls need big diamonds."

In her very last interview Elizabeth gave to Harper’s Bazaar February 2011 issue, she was quoted saying:

“I have never felt more alive than when I watched my children delight in something, never more alive than when I have watched a great artist perform and never richer than when I have scored a big check to fight AIDS. Follow your passion, follow your heart, and the things you need will come.

Beautiful words from a beautiful woman.

New Boots!

I know, I know, it’s already Spring, and everyone is anxious to wear their flip-flops and sandals, but there really is never a good time for me to put away my BOOTS. In fact, the other day I just bought a gorgeous new pair – the last pair at the store! They really were meant just for me… There they are below, my new Sperry Topsiders from Marshall’s for $39.99.
