Being Ukrainian, I am a huge fan of Anthropologie’s embroidered peasant tops (and pretty much everything else Anthropologie sells). They are this week’s most wanted pieces. Check out a few of them below!
“There is only one really good life and that’s the life you know you want and you make it yourself.” -Diana Vreeland
Love this quote! Diana Vreeland was a columnist and fashion editor born in France, who worked for Harper’s Bazaar and Vogue.
I’ve never been a fan of white pants (mostly because I spill things on them the second I put them on), but I really like the way they look. I love these Gap 1969 Real Straight Skimmer Jeans, and especially the way they’re styled in this photo (the outfit is very much my style). I know not everyone loves Gap, but it’s always been one of my key stores to shop in because they have such staple pieces, and the Gap Body pieces are so incredibly soft. I love anything that’s made with a nice fabric.

Hello all. Sorry that this post is a little late! Somehow someone logged into my account and changed my settings. There was no way for me to login, so I had to have everything restored to an earlier date this week – super annoying, but it happens. If anyone commented earlier this week on any of my previous posts, and your comment isn’t showing up on my blog, that’s probably why.
Anyway, this week’s most wanted piece is the adorable Alexis Bittar, Durban Gunmetal Salamander Bracelet. I love the dark green color, and that cute little salamander on top (with Swarovski crystals). Purchase this bracelet at www.charmandchain.com.
R29: “You’ve done so many great things in fashion (and more) – what is your proudest accomplishment to date?”
“Being a successful woman in the world of fashion and retail. I am often the only woman among a room of male executives. It is empowering and drives me to do my best! I have a degree in environmental science, not fashion – I’m self-taught in design and retail with now 20 years experience, so everything I do in this industry seems like a tiny victory.” -Bethany Mayer, Owner of Surf Bazaar

These shorts have all the necessary elements that make them a must have. Brightly colored for summer? Check. Nautical patterns? Check. Right length (5″ to be exact)? Check. Here’s the best part…you can find these on the J. Crew Factory website for just $44.50!
So far my weekend plans include a BBQ b-day party. Starting next weekend, the summer traveling begins, where I feel like I’m away practically every weekend (I’m not complaining, but it does get tiring!). Enjoy your weekend.
“For some of us, books are as important as almost anything else on earth. What a miracle it is that out of these small, flat, rigid squares of paper unfolds world after world after world, worlds that sing to you, comfort and quiet or excite you. Books help us understand who we are and how we are to behave. They show us what community and friendship mean; they show us how to live and die.”
