“A woman can be beautiful at any age. I think my mother is very beautiful, so I’m not scared of aging. French women have a very natural approach to beauty. For us, it’s important to look natural, I think. Be happy for who you are and make the best of it.” -Jeanne Damas, a personal style blogger and the face of Macy’s new Maison Jules line
This week’s Friday’s Most Wanted is actually not a Friday’s Most Wanted post, but instead I thought it would be fun to share a few photos from Easter with you. I’ve always been a fan of the Ukrainian traditions my family holds for each holiday (and everything else…), and Easter is one of those holidays filled with tons of traditions. For example, we headed over to church for a 12 am liturgy, and then had our Easter baskets (filled with delicious kielbasa and Easter goodies) blessed after the service. The entire Easter weekend was pretty much filled with eating, eating, and oh, more eating (my family and I are very good at that).
I also wanted to share with you two articles of clothing that I have recently inherited and just love. The first is a one-of-a-kind coat made in Ukraine. Just look at how gorgeous it is in the photo below! The second is the dress I wore for Easter, given to me by my future sister-in-law. It has an asian design and is very bright – a perfect fit for the holiday. Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter, and enjoy your weekend!
This week’s most wanted is this Cadence Trim Detail Silk Shirt Dress by DVF. I absolutely LOVE DVF and am determined to own a DVF wrap dress one day. Here’s what I love about the Cadence Trim dress: it’s blue and white (great colors for any season), it’s silk, it has a belt to tie the dress and show off the waist, and the white piping in the middle and bottom of the dress is a very classy touch. It would make a great Easter dress – Happy Easter everyone!
I’m really feeling all the patterns and prints, bolds and brights this season. I walked into Zara yesterday and they have some really great spring pieces. This flower-patterned dress was one of the pieces that caught my eye. It’s the perfect Easter dress, and the back shows just the right amount of skin. I would probably pair this with some nude wedges and my trusty jean jacket, and voila! what a simple yet fashionable outfit.
“Life is worth living as long as there’s a laugh in it.” -L.H. Montgomery, Anne of Green Gables
A very happy birthday to the one special person who keeps me laughing all day and all night!
This week’s most wanted is a jewelry piece I saw on a blog with a view – a red enamel Hermes bracelet. I was searching for something completely unrelated online, and came across this Hermes Balcon du Guadalquivir Enamel Bracelet. It’s such a simple design, but I really like the red coloring on white, outlined in gold. This would make a great statement piece of jewelry. I actually can’t find this exact bracelet on the Hermes website (tears), but they have other lovely variations in different colors – I’ve included some of the others for you below.
