This week’s most wanted is this Cadence Trim Detail Silk Shirt Dress by DVF. I absolutely LOVE DVF and am determined to own a DVF wrap dress one day. Here’s what I love about the Cadence Trim dress: it’s blue and white (great colors for any season), it’s silk, it has a belt to tie the dress and show off the waist, and the white piping in the middle and bottom of the dress is a very classy touch. It would make a great Easter dress – Happy Easter everyone!
I’m really feeling all the patterns and prints, bolds and brights this season. I walked into Zara yesterday and they have some really great spring pieces. This flower-patterned dress was one of the pieces that caught my eye. It’s the perfect Easter dress, and the back shows just the right amount of skin. I would probably pair this with some nude wedges and my trusty jean jacket, and voila! what a simple yet fashionable outfit.
This week’s most wanted is a jewelry piece I saw on a blog with a view - a red enamel Hermes bracelet. I was searching for something completely unrelated online, and came across this Hermes Balcon du Guadalquivir Enamel Bracelet. It’s such a simple design, but I really like the red coloring on white, outlined in gold. This would make a great statement piece of jewelry. I actually can’t find this exact bracelet on the Hermes website (tears), but they have other lovely variations in different colors – I’ve included some of the others for you below.
I read today in an article on Fashionista.com, that H&M will be opening 375 shops this year. Insane! Talk about some retail expansion. Another article also reported that the store & Other Stories owned by H&M will be opening a location in Soho. Very exciting news!
I took a look at the website, and just the homepage was exciting and inviting, especially with all the pastel colors for spring. This week’s most wanted, features several pieces from their online website, which ships only to 12 European countries right now, but the brand is working on an e-commerce website as we speak. Can’t wait!
I just love the front of these trousers! A little funk for work – perfect.
This little clutch caught my eye because of its fun and vibrant geometric pattern. Super cute.
I have a red Stella & Dot bracelet very similar to this one, and I wear it all the time. This simple cotton string bracelets are very in right now, and look very nice by their lonesome on the wrist.
Today’s most wanted piece is a Carven sweatshirt with a banana on the front. Why did I pick this piece, it’s a sweatshirt with a banana on the front (need I say more?)! I love that the banana design is tropical, and placed on a sweatshirt, which is meant to be worn for warmth – what an oxymoron. This would be a great piece to take on a vaca. Hope everyone has a great weekend and keeps warm!
This week’s most wanted piece is from none other than my favorite designer James Perse (love!). Look at this Cowl Neck Skinny Dress? Don’t you just love it? What I love about this dress (and just about anything James Perse), is that the design is so simple, which allows the piece to be multi-functional, not to mention that his clothes always feel good when you wear them. No I’m not crazy, they really do – the fabrics are just so soft. I also really like how there’s just a tiny bit of gray that peeks out from the bottom of the dress – gives off a nice contrast. Hope everyone has a great weekend! So happy it’s Friday.
This week’s most wanted isn’t just one piece, but several pieces from the Nate Berkus for Target line! I love pieces for the home, and am very into all of Nate Berkus’s home designs. They are simple and not too flashy, but somehow classy and modern at the same time. Nate uses pretty neutral colors (perfect for matching different rooms!) and adds details here and there to make each piece unique. What makes this designer collab even more awesome than it already is…the affordable prices. Love it! Below are some photos of my favorite Nate Berkus for Target pieces. Check out this awesome line for yourself!
My fiance (still not used to this word!), is obsessed with the show Doctor Who (or maybe just the main female actress, Jenna-Louise Coleman), so he sent me this skirt yesterday, that just happens to be something Jenna wore in the show. I actually really like the skirt! Of course it’s sold out and a little out of my price range, but I’m sure I can find something similar elsewhere. It’s got a punk-rock meets modern vibe, and I’m always into mixing styles. Happy Friday everyone! Hope everyone in NYC enjoys the snow.
When trying to kill some time before dinner yesterday in the West Village, I stumbled upon CO Bigelow Pharmacy. I really only walked in to see what scents they have (love me some good scents), and ended up falling in love with this store! It’s really not just a pharmacy – the store also carries perfumes, lotions, soaps, candles, journals, and more, from all these great brands such as CO Bigelow. This week’s most wanted is a CO Bigelow Eau De Parfum Spray that smells like Ginger Mentha, aka amazing.
I will be traveling over the weekend and the next week for the holidays, so please excuse my lack of writing for a week. Happy Holidays to all!
I saw EMU boots similar to these at a little boutique in the Poconos and loved them. I’ve always been a huge fan of EMU’s vs UGGS (although I’ll give UGGS some love as well!). I love the deep brown color of these boots and they look like they would be so warm inside.
