“Style is personality. It’s having the ability to look at things beyond fashion and the self-confidence to transform even the simplest thing into something special. It’s a natural quality you cannot learn and there are no rules to follow.” -Domenico Dolce & Stefano Gabbana
I thought it would be most appropriate to share a Dolce & Gabanna style quote, since the duo just debuted its “Alta Moda” collection in an absolutely stunning location – Capri, Italy. How I would love to have been sitting in the audience watching that runway show (the Amalfi Coast in Italy is one of my favorite places in the world)! Guests were seated among the rocks right next to the ocean, watching the models shashay past them in absolutely gorgeous gowns and accessories. For a first-hand account of a show attendee, check out this article on Vogue.

“A woman can be beautiful at any age. I think my mother is very beautiful, so I’m not scared of aging. French women have a very natural approach to beauty. For us, it’s important to look natural, I think. Be happy for who you are and make the best of it.” -Jeanne Damas, a personal style blogger and the face of Macy’s new Maison Jules line

“Don’t lament so much about how your career is going to turn out. You don’t have a career. You have a life. Do the work. Keep the faith. Be true blue. You are a writer because you write. Keep writing and quit your bitching. Your book has a birthday. You don’t know what it is yet.” -Cheryl Strayed, Tiny Beautiful Things: Advice on Love and Life from Dear Sugar
